MyLovely vs Couple.me: Stop Renewal Without Losing the Paid Period

Plan a one-month exit using the actual cancellation paths, remaining access rules and limits on unused media balances.

On this page
  1. Decide which date you are trying to change
  2. Keep access, balance and renewal as three records

Decide which date you are trying to change

Suppose an illustrative monthly period runs from 1 November to 1 December. You decide on 12 November that you do not want another month. The immediate task is stopping the 1 December renewal, not ending the remaining November access.

MyLovely’s Terms, section 4.3, say to cancel in account settings before the renewal date. Access remains until the current term ends; premium features then stop and unused credits may expire.

Couple.me’s Terms, section 10, direct users to Settings → Unsubscribe and likewise say access continues through the current paid period without the next renewal charge. Its plan details are under My Profile and Settings.

These are provider policy statements, not a cancellation we performed. Your actual end date and billing timezone come from the account, not this example’s calendar.

Keep access, balance and renewal as three records

Record Why it matters
Current paid-period end Tells you when the remaining premium use ends
Next-renewal status Tells you whether another charge is scheduled
Unused media balance Tells you what may need using or saving before access changes

On MyLovely, the explicit “may expire” clause means an unused balance is not assured future value. The home page describes tokens across chat, voice, photos and video, but does not establish every current action price.

On Couple.me, section 9 describes unlimited paid messaging and 100 monthly feature tokens. Section 10 says access becomes restricted after the period. It does not promise in that cancellation section that unused extras remain available indefinitely.

Do not generate unnecessary media merely to empty a balance. Finish the useful work you already planned and preserve accepted files while they are accessible.

Cancellation is not the refund route

MyLovely’s Terms contain separate, conditional withdrawal/refund provisions: an unused EU purchase within the stated period and discretionary consideration of certain very early, minimal-use requests. They do not promise a general refund for changing your mind after using a month.

Couple.me also applies separate timing, token-use and payment-method conditions. Its subscription refund section describes a 24-hour request limit, denial after more than 20 tokens used and card-purchase eligibility. Stopping renewal on day twelve is therefore not the same policy event as an early refund request.

For a bounded evaluation, save the current end date, stop the next renewal through the documented control, then confirm the account reflects that choice. Keep a confirmation if one is supplied. Choose neither product on the assumption that “cancel anytime” preserves every token or returns the current payment.

Sources and scope

This comparison separates documented capabilities from editorial interpretation. Source access and any limitations are described in the article; a suggested evaluation is not a claim of completed testing.
